MALKA is a creative studio leveraging the instincts of a creative agency but built on the backbone of an agile production company. From original productions like Netflix documentaries and branded episodic series on Verizon, to VR/AR, animated videos, social content and full on content strategy and marketing campaigns, our 120+ full-time creative staff work in every creative medium.
We took what was typically done by multiple vendors and built it under a single roof, letting our creatives expand their creative knowledge sets while elevating every piece of content that comes out of the studio. This is content at the speed of culture.
MARKETING INTERN
January 2021 - May 2021
In this role I was responsible for entirely managing MALKA's social channels, promoting new content and work done by its production team while also creating engaging assets for followers to interact with.

I also assisted in coordinating press releases for new shows including Called Game with Kenny Beecham and Austin AF with Katie Austin. I used Meltwater to craft the company's press communications targets and foster new relationship with relevant journalists.

Furthermore, I worked on the company's email marketing initiatives and sent monthly newsletters to prospective and current clients, as well as internal letters to the MALKA team.

For the launch of MALKA's first-ever female podcast / web show, I was tasked with finding 80+ press communication targets to contact. Through the use of Meltwater, I identified a variety of writers that fit Katie's personality and were relevant to topics she'd be discussing on her show.

For the east-coast native turned west-coast NFL player's first web show, Dine N Bash, I was tasked with identifying writers in the food / restaurant industries to pitch upcoming episodes. I also found local LA writers that could be ideal press targets as Joseph-Day explored new cultures and cuisine in the heart of the city.

Created an interactive Instagram Stories graphic to get viewers excited for In The Know Bowl 2021, where pro gamers are paired with pro athletes and set to compete against one another in Call of Duty.

As a Marketing Intern, I was in charge of managing MALKA's social media channels including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. I maintained and organized weekly content calendars that included new projects, throwbacks to previous work, and though leadership articles.
To improve and monitor social performance across channels, I utilized Hootsuite and Later to help make optimizations to our organic strategy, including better strategizing posting schedules and hashtag reach.
